Athletics officially launches

ALVA, Okla. - After months of hard work, the Northwestern Oklahoma State University department of athletics is pleased to announce the launch of its brand new website

The new website marks the first time Northwestern athletics has had its own website. will feature easier navigation and new features never before available to Ranger fans.

"This is a tremendous recruiting tool as well as a mechanism to communicate and reach out to our constituency," athletic director Andy Carter said. " will be an asset to Ranger athletics, Ranger nation, and future Rangers to come."

A row of social networking buttons on the top of the site is designed to make the athletic department's Twitter (NWOSUAthletics) and Facebook (Northwestern Oklahoma State University Athletics) accounts accessible with the click of a button.

Users can click a "Join Mailing List" link on the left (and the button that looks like an envelope at the top) to receive releases as they are posted. Access to the Ranger biographies will be easier as links will be provided in releases every time your favorite Ranger is mentioned.

Our newly launched Youtube Channel (NWOSURangers) is accessible from the homepage. Along with the launch, we have provided a highlight video which was made for the NWOSU student-athlete awards banquet. The video is courtesy of Brittany Bunch, a member of the women's soccer team and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee chair.

In the middle of the page, fans will find tabs to see a calendar of future athletic events, results and recent events. Autumn Klugh has been selected as the first ever Ranger of the Month, a feature which can be found near the bottom left of the page.  On the bottom right of the page, we will feature a Ranger Fan Poll which will be updated every couple of weeks. Please feel free to give us your opinions. will be updated all summer with statistical archives from the old site. All pages still in need of construction will be built as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we go through this process.

Links will also be available for all future live stats and broadcasts.

All information available previously on will be available throughout the transfer.

"A lot of people have worked endless hours to make this new site a reality," Carter said. "This will be visually appealing as well as a little easier to navigate."
