Northwestern Oklahoma State Athletics

Fred “Dick” Smith is simply one of the greatest basketball players ever to perform at Northwestern. Smith was a two-time All-American and a three-time First Team All-Oklahoma Collegiate Conference selection.
 
The only Ranger ever to lead the conference in scoring three straight years, Smith amassed at least one other record that will never be broken, playing every minute of every game throughout his career. He was never replaced by a substitute, nor did he ever foul out of a contest.
