BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf concluded the 2023 Fall season at The Tulsa Cup Tuesday afternoon hosted by Rogers State at The Club at Indian Springs. The Rangers finished sixth overall tied with Minnesota State Mankato.
Northwestern Oklahoma State was led by Max Courange placing tied for ninth overall in the tournament following a total of 216. Courange finished with a 70-72-74 between the three rounds, best being on day one. Courange had a total of 37 pars through the three days along with nine birdies to lead the Rangers.
Second overall for the Rangers was Matti Zerwin with a final of 220 (73-75-72) his best round coming in the final third round. He was second on the Rangers overall and tied for 21st with teammate Caden Holmes. Zerwin totaled 31 pars and 10 birdies.
Holmes placed second for Northwestern after tying with Zerwin with 220. Holmes' best round came in the third round as well, following a 74-77-69. Holmes completed the tournament with 31 pars, pairing that with 11 birdies.
Cade Seymour tied for 40th overall in the tournament following the three rounds he had a 224 (74-73-77). He concluded the tournament with 29 pars with 11 birdies at the Tulsa Cup.
Tied for 78th overall was Pierce Geminden with a total of 241 (81-83-77) having his best round in the final round in three. Geminden had the team's only eagle in the tournament. He finished with 25 pars and four birdies.
The winner of the tournament went to Southern Arkansas after totaling an 866 (296-284-286) overall in the tournament. Rogers State and Wayne State (MI) closed out the top three. The winning individual was Bryson Oots of William Jewell College following a 208 (66-69-73).
This tournament concluded the fall season for the Rangers. Northwestern will return to tournament play in February for their championship portion of the season.
