Aaron Gilbreath is in his third year as the pitching coach on the Ranger coaching staff. He spent the previous two years as Pitching Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Northeast Texas Community College. In 2015, the Eagles pitching staff finished led the conference in both ERA and strikeouts. The Eagles pitching staff had two All Conference pitchers, Tanner Buxton (1st) and Dalton Algiene (2nd). In his two years at Northeast, the Eagles sent 9 players on to Division 1 schools and 7 on to Division 2 schools. In the summer of 2016, Gilbreath was the Head Coach of the Haysville Aviators in the Jayhawk Collegiate League and earned a bid in the NBC World Series.
Gilbreath played 4 years at Dallas Baptist University from 2010-2013. He was a starting pitcher on the 2011 Super Regional team that won the Fort Worth Regional. In 2012, the Patriots made it to the championship game in the Waco Regional. Gilbreath had a career ERA of 3.80, both as a starting and relief pitcher. Since graduating in 2013, Gilbreath has coached in the summers for the Dallas Mustangs under Sam Carpenter. He also worked at The Batters Cave Training Academy in Arlington, TX where he was a private instructor.
The Colleyville, Texas native graduated in 2013 from DBU with a degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing. Gilbreath currently resides in Alva with his wife Ryan.
