Percefull Fieldhouse

Percefull Fieldhouse, also known as "The Pit" is a multipurpose facility located in the heart of campus. An intimate seating capacity of just over 2,100 combined with a passionate Ranger fan base make it one of the great home court advantages in college basketball.

The Fieldhouse, which opened in 1953, is home to the Ranger volleyball as well as both the men's and women's basketball teams. It was named for Sabine Percefull, the school's president from 1942 to 1954 and is a major hub for the Alva community. Each year it hosts a variety of recreational sports activities and University calendar events, including graduation, concerts, campus organization events, summer camps and special events.

Northwestern continues to make upgrades to the Fieldhouse with an eye toward preserving its history and charm. In Aug. 2007, the men's and women's basketball locker rooms underwent full renovations. With a comfortable lounge area and computer access, they serve as a home away from home for many Ranger basketball players. The volleyball program, re-established for the 2012 season, also received a brand new locker room space in the connecting Health & Sports Science Center.
