ALVA, Okla. -- It's that time of year again when the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo teams host the Northwestern rodeo at the Woods County Fairgrounds.
Events are set to begin this evening, Thursday Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. It's student night where students get in for a discounted price of $4 with a student ID.
Friday is an all-day affair as slack starts at 8 a.m. followed by the main events at 7 p.m. once again. The second night of the rodeo is family night where there will be the annual calf scramble for the kids.
The final day of the rodeo on Saturday is on Halloween where events will begin at 9 a.m. where there will be another slack at the Woods County Fairgrounds followed by a timed event and Bull Riding. Beginning at 7 p.m. will be the Match of Champions and short round performances to decide the winners.
Tickets are $6 at the door, children 12 and under are $4.
