ALVA, Okla. – The second week of the season was a tough one for the Rangers as the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas took down the Rangers 49-14 on Family Day.

Individual Leaders

• Reid Miller threw for 142 total yards on 11-26 passing.
• Ty Hooper came in during the third quarter after a Reid Miller injury and went 6-for-15 for 90 yards and a touchdown pass to Arte Miura Jr.
• Zachry Doyle collected the other score for Northwestern.
• Three Rangers collected over 10 tackles in the contest with Rontez Smith leading the way with 13 tackles, while Derrick Thompson and Joby Saint-Fleur collected 12 and 11 respectively.

Game Changer

• At the start of the second quarter, the Rangers made it a seven-point ballgame, but right after the Doyle rushing touchdown, the Muleriders rattled off 35-straight points to seal up the win.

News & Notes

• Tonight's game was the first to be played on the new artificial turf.
• The Dean Linder Pressbox was dedicated to the Northwestern Hall of famer, Judge Dean Linder
