The Rangers were downed by tournament host University of Nebraska-Kearney in the second day of the New Victorian Inn & Suites/Runza Fall Classic by a score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-18). In the final constest of the tournament, Northwestern battled but were unable to rally as University of Illinois-Springfield took the match by a score of 3-1 (26-24, 25-21, 25-15, 25-17).
