The Rangers took on arch rival Southwestern Oklahoma State in the second match of Great American conference play. It was a back and forth afair early in set one, however a 4-0 run by the Bulldogs forced a Ranger timeout and the Bulldogs would later take the set. Set three saw the Rangers jump out to an 18-11 lead but the Bulldogs fought back to eventually take the set by a score of 28-26. SWOSU went on the beat the Rangers by a score of 3-0 (21-25, 22-25, 26-28).
