Shawnee , Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball picked up their first conference win of the season over rival Southwestern Oklahoma State with a final score of 3-1. (25-22,25-19,25-27,25-20)
Individual Leaders
- Asia Pipkin, Hannah Williams, and Jennifer Eubanks all had stellar nights with Pipkin leading the way for the Rangers with 12 kills, and Williams and Eubanks proving 10 apiece. Eubanks also hit an impressive .292 for the evening while contributing 15 points for the Rangers.
- Natalie Fahey chipped in with 3 service aces as well as 8 kills.
- Vanessa Maile filled up the stat sheet with 24 assists to go along with 10 digs.
Game Changer
- The match started out neck-and-neck before Northwestern capitalized on a 4-point run late in the first set to take a very crucial set one, 25-22.
- The rivalry game would keep up the back-and-forth chess match early in the second set until the Rangers finally opened up a big lead in the second set thanks to a six point run at the 12-12 point. The Bulldogs could only manage to bring the scoring differential down to four points throughout the rest of the set as the Rangers opened up a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-19 victory.
- After the Rangers dropped the third set by giving up three straight points at the 25-24 mark, the black-and-red settled down and closed out the Bulldogs with a pair of kills by Taylor Hayden late in the set, propelling the Rangers to a 25-20 victory.
