ALVA, OKLA. -Â Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball was defeated by Southern Nazarene University by a final score of 3-0 (20-25, 21-25, 15-25).
Individual Leaders
- Hannah Williams led the way for the Rangers with nine kills.
- Natalie Fahey produced an impressive .429 hitting percentage for the match.
- Carley Geer led the defensive effort for the Rangers with 22 digs throughout the match.
Game Changer
- After a series of early rallies, the Rangers opened up an 11-8 lead early in set number one. A five point Storm run evened up the set up at 12, leading to a Rangers timeout. Three key late attack errors by the Rangers led to a 25-20 Storm victory.
- Four straight points, including two powerful kills from Williams, evened the set at 12 for the second set in a row. The Rangers used two kills from Fahey and Asia Pipkin to narrow the Storm lead to just two, causing a Southern Nazarene timeout at the 21-19 point mark. The Rangers came out of the timeout and could only manage two more points, leading to a 25-21 Storm victory.
- After a back and forth start to the third set, the Storm went on a 6-1 run, opening up a 13-8 lead. Â The Rangers battled hard, including two late kills by Williams, but ultimately dropped the third and final set of the match 25-15.
