BETHANY, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Rangers basketball team took the road to Bethany, Okla. this afternoon where they faced off with Southern Nazarene in the Sawyer Center, but came away with the loss in a 106-95 game.
Four Lady Rangers finished the day with double-digit point totals as
Kalea King continues her big year, going for 27, while
Jonae Isaac posted 20, and
Destinee Robinson and
McKenzie Billy finished with 11 and 10 respectively.
Early on, the Crimson Storm were hot, going on an 11-0 run to start the ballgame, making it difficult on the visitors in the early going.
The first quarter stayed in the home team's favor throughout, as SNU went up by as many as 18 in the period, before ending it with a 14-point advantage.
The woes continued for the Lady Rangers as the hosts went up by 23, at 53-30 before Northwestern made a furious 17-3 charge, to cut the lead to just nine at the break.
Diesselhorst's team remained in control of the momentum out of the halftime break, as the Lady Rangers started on a 7-0 run, cutting the advantage to just two for the Crimson Storm.

The tables were quickly turned however as SNU made a couple decent sized runs, leading by as many as 14 in the quarter, and finishing it up by eight points over the Rangers.
Northwestern was poised for another comeback, but everytime it looked like the visitors were making headway, the hosts had another plan in mind. The Lady Rangers came within four points at the 3:29 mark left in the contest, but it wouldn't be enough as SNU pushed it back to 11, where it would eventually end.
