WICHITA, Kan. - Northwestern Oklahoma State took the road to Wichita, Kan. this evening where they took the field with Newman and came away with the loss, 12-3.
Leading the way for the Rangers at the plate was Alva native

Newman struck first in the game, plating the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning where a double scored one run, but the Rangers struck back in the top of two.
Northwestern took the lead in the top of the second off a double down the left field line by Anderson, Â scoring Krokroskia and Van Amstel on the play, making it a 2-1 lead in favor of the visitors.
The hosts weren't to be outdone however, scoring three more of their own in the bottom half of the inning to make it a two-run game.
In the top of the third, the Black-and-Red were able to post another run on a single by Van Amstel, but the three runs would be all the guests could muster.
NU kept pouring it on however as in the fourth inning, the Jets posted a six-spot on Northwestern, putting the game out of reach.Â
The hosts scored two more in the bottom of seven to make it a 12-3 game which is where it would remain over the final two innings of play.
