Men's Basketball Out-Dueled by Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Northwestern Oklahoma State men's basketball took a tough eight-point loss at the hands of the Ouachita Baptist Tigers Thursday night. Despite holding a five-point halftime lead, the Rangers were plagued by fouls down the stretch allowing the Tigers to pull ahead in the final few minutes.

Treyvon Andres led the black-and-red with 16 points and added two blocked shots, bringing his team leading total to 37 for the season while ranking him second in the Great American Conference. The 6'7" forward also connected on two three-pointers. Cody Halvorson (14 points) knocked down four treys of his own but the Rangers struggled from deep, going 7-for-20 as a team from beyond the arc. Cedric Collinge had two blocked shots.

Ouachita junior Wesley Franklin proved to be the difference maker for the Tigers as the 6'5" junior had 17 points and 11 boards, going 8-for-11 from the field while swatting three shots.

The Rangers will stay in Arkadelphia for their Saturday matchup with Ouachita's cross-town rival Henderson State. The Reddies are coming off a blow-out win over Southwestern Oklahoma State and are currently sitting eighth in the GAC.
