EDMOND, Okla. – Samantha Friday shot a two-round 170 to lead the Northwestern Oklahoma State women's golf to a 16th-place finish at the UCO Classic on Tuesday at The Golf Club at Edmond, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.
Friday shot a 84 in the opening round and an 86 in the second to finish in 66th. Madison Masch had the Rangers next-lowest score of 174, as she carded totals of 89 and 85.
Central Oklahoma won the tournament posting a team score of 306-295—601, while Susana Olivares led the way shooting a two-day score of 143. Olivares was tied for sixth after Monday but came away with the individual crown.
Ashley Watts posted an 85 in the first round and a 93 in the second to finish third among the Black-and-Red with a sum of 178.Mackena Tennyson turned in a two round total of 183, shooting 91 in the first round and 92 in the second. Angela Egger, meanwhile, rounded out Northwestern with a 189 after shooting a 93 on Monday and a 96 on Tuesday.
The Rangers will next play in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, which will be hosted at the Lawton Country Club in Lawton, Okla. by Cameron University on October 14-15.
