Rangers Sweep Cameron in Three

LAWTON, Okla.– Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers volleyball took a tough match from out-of-conference opponent Cameron University Tuesday evening in Lawton, Okla. The Black-and-Red gained control of the match after falling behind and pushed their record to 15-7. Cameron came out hot but lost hold of the match giving them a record of 5-13. Rangers swept the Aggies in three [25-23, 25-14, 25-15].

Jennifer Eubanks continued to dominate her senior season as she added eleven kills to her total with a stellar hit percentage of .611. Eubanks also tallied five total blocks and one service ace. Kiauna Clark and Kate Deterding tallied seven kills each throughout the match. Clark added 4 blocks to the team's total, while Deterding had four service aces in the match. Kaitlyn Robinson led the team with 25 assists, while Sydnee Miller led the team with 19 digs.

The first set was back and forth between the Aggies and the Rangers. Both teams traded points throughout the match. Aggies seemed to have taken the match until back-to-back-to-back kills from Eubanks turned the momentum around. The Black-and-Red came back and snatched the match 25-23.

The second set started out very similar to the first with the Aggies appearing to take control. With three different tied scores and two lead changes through the set it was apparent that the Northwestern did not give up another set. Tough serving from Deterding allowed the Rangers to grab the second set 25-14.

Northwestern continued to ride their momentum into the third set. Black-and-Red took control of the set early and never let go. Freshman Alexi Beach added her own impact with five serves throughout the match and helped secure the Ranger's sweep with a third set score of 25-15.

Northwestern volleyball will be headed to Arkansas for two matches against Great American Conference foes. The Rangers are scheduled to play against Harding at 6 p.m. Friday evening in Searcy, Ark.
