Lady Rangers Will Play Final Home Contest Today Against ECU

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Women's Basketball will be back in action today inside Percefull Fieldhouse for their final time, and final regular season GAC contest of the 2020-2021 schedule. The Lady Rangers will tip-off against the Tigers of East Central at 2 p.m. for Senior Day! 
 
The Red-and-Black would have played East Central on Feb. 13 but the game was canceled due to inclement weather. 
 
During their previous meeting, about a month ago, the Tigers were able to pull out a 58-53 win over Northwestern at home. The Lady Rangers were led by Mya Johnson. Johnson earned a double-double after scoring 14 points and snagging 11 rebounds. She finished scoring 6-of-11 from field goal range and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. Johnson also tallied two blocks and a steal. Kaylee Jo Neeley racked up 11 points and four rebounds. She made 5-of-6 from the free-throw line and 3-of-6 from inside. Bailey Brown assisted eight players, grabbed 11 rebounds and scored eight points. Josena Frame finished with eight points, two assists, one steal and one rebound.

Brown will face the Tigers averaging 13.3 points and 9.1 rebounds. She's shooting 81.4% from the free-throw line and has recorded 69 assists along with 26 steals, the most on the team. 
 
Johnson enters the contest averaging 10.9 points and 8.2 rebounds. She's completing 59.8% of her shots and 56% of her free throws. 
 
Shephard posts 6.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. She's shooting 30.2% from the field and 85.7% from the free-throw line.
