Lady Rangers Conclude Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite in Edmond

EDMOND, Okla. – The Northwestern women's golf team wrapped up the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational on Tuesday at the Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond. The Lady Rangers recorded a 12th place finish.

"I'm proud of our girls for fighting through the tough wind conditions this week" Head Coach Nikkole Donk said.

The tournament was hosted by Great American Conference opponent Southern Nazarene University.

The Red-and-Black posted a 677-team score after two rounds in two days. Northwestern finished tied with GAC opponent Southern Arkansas, and ahead of Oklahoma Baptist by 24 shots.

Ashley Watts led Northwestern after she finished the tournament tied for 38th place. Watts carded a final score of 80-85 – 165. She also tallied three birdies.

Madison Masch carded an 85 after her first round and improved the final round on the second day after turning in a score of 84. Masch finished the tournament with a 169 and recorded one birdie.

Angela Egger also improved her game after the second round. Egger recorded an 86-85 – 171 and earned herself a birdie.

Samantha Friday posted a two-round 84-89 – 173 and Savannah Monahan finished the tournament shooting 85-91 – 176

Mackena Tennyson competed for NWOSU as an individual, she recorded two birdies and finished tied for 46th overall. Tennyson turned in a two-round final of 81-86 – 167.

Campbell Payne, a freshman from Broken Arrow, also competed individually. Payne carded a pair of 84s and an overall score of 168.

The University of Central Oklahoma earned the victory in Edmond after recording a two round team total of 610. The Bronchos were led by Emma Shelley who claimed first place after finishing shooting 75-70 – 145
