Northwestern Volleyball vs. SWOSU Preview

Great American Conference Championship Tournament Quarterfinals

ALVA, Okla. – The Rangers will travel to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center and face the SWOSU Bulldogs tonight at 6 p.m. for the GAC Championship Tournament Quarterfinals.

Northwestern Volleyball faced Southwestern twice in the regular season, each time taking the Bulldogs to five sets. The Red-and-Black look for their first win this season against SWOSU to advance to the semifinals.

Kaydee Honeycutt currently leads Northwestern averaging 3.81 kills per set. Honeycutt has amassed 206 kills and 237.5 points this season along with a .269 attack percentage. After her last match up with the Bulldogs she scored 20 kills and hit .390.

Kate Deterding averages 3.13 kills per set and a .172 attack percentage. Deterding has tallied 166 kills, 188.5 points and 10 service aces in 53 sets played. In her previous two outings with SWOSU she's racked up 20+ kill games.

Tarra Parks is posting 1.32 kills per set and 87 points this season. Parks has earned 70 kills in 53 sets. She finished with 10 kills the last time she faced Southwestern.

Ravyn Burns has recorded 62 blocks and 93.5 points in 50 sets. Burns is hitting .215 and averaging 1.16 kills per set.

Sydnee Miller leads the Rangers defensively with 276 digs this season in 53 sets played. Miller also leads the Red-and-Black with 14 service aces. In her previous contest against SWOSU she racked up 31 digs.

Avery Osburg has assisted her teammates 486 times in 53 sets. Osburg is averaging 9.17 assists per set while recording 10 service aces, 38 points and 16 kills on the season.

Allie Hoang has amassed 409 assists, 63.5 points and 33 kills for the Bulldogs. Hoang leads the team with 24 service aces.
