Set 1:

The opening set was a battle as the Rangers and Bison would trade point for point to start the match with a 4-4 tie following two straight Davis serves for attack errors. A service error followed by a Wimmer kill pushed the Rangers in front 6-4. OBU would even score at 7-7 before a Wimmer kill, and an attack error by the Bison would give the Rangers a 10-8 lead back. The opening set would be locked in point for point as the match would go 14-14 following a Honeycutt kill. Northwestern would go up 17-16, but that would be the last time the Red-and-Black would lead in the opening set. Oklahoma Baptist would rattle off five consecutive points to build a 21-17 lead over the Rangers for their largest of the first set. The Bison would keep the distance as they went on to win the opening set of the match 25-19 over Northwestern.

Set 2:

The Bison came out fast in the second set with the first three points to build a 3-0 lead, which they would not look back on in the second set. Honeycutt would end the Bison run with a kill to help score three straight points for the Rangers. The Bison would open a 7-4 lead following back-to-back kills. A Courtney Russell kill would bring the deficit back down to one at 8-7 however OBU would push their lead back to four by back-to-back kills from Leatherland to take an 11-7 lead. Oklahoma Baptist would build one of their largest leads in the set at 17-10 continuing, their run. The Rangers and Bison kept trading points after the lead hit seven as that path would continue as the deficit stayed at seven as the Rangers trailed 20-13. The Bison would take a 2-0 match lead after winning the second set with a 25-16 victory.

Set 3:

The third set would follow much like the opening set, with a battle between the two teams back and forth. The Rangers and Bison opened with a 4-3 Bison lead. OBU was able to grow their lead to 10-4, forcing a Ranger's timeout. Following the timeout, the Rangers were able to cut the deficit in half with kills from Honeycutt and Madison Dehlinger closing, the run forcing an Oklahoma Baptist timeout.
