ALVA, OKLA- The Lady Rangers will close out their three game road trip including the final game in Russellville, Arkansas. Northwestern will look to close the road trip on a win following Thursday's loss to Harding University 61-39. The game is set for a 1:00 PM tip-off in Tucker Coliseum Saturday Afternoon.

Northwestern (10-7 overall, 6-5 GAC) comes in on a two game losing streak following their seven game win streak as the Rangers are 7-2 in their last nine games. The 6-5 conference record sits sixth in the conference.

The Red-and-Black have been led by their defense through the first 17 games of the season. Northwestern is first in the conference in field goal percentage defense as the Rangers are holding their opponents to just 37% from the field, along with leading the conference in rebounding margin. Northwestern is also second in the conference in scoring defense allowing the second least amount of points at 63 a game in the GAC.

Defensively the Lady Rangers have been led in steals by Carly Craig with 27 on the year followed by Bailey Brown with 25. Brown is tied for the team lead with Camille Thomas in blocked shots on the season with seven.

The Rangers offense has been led by Bailey Brown averaging 17.6 points per game on 52% shooting. She is one of two double figure scorers joined by Scout Frame scoring 15.1 points a game on 45 % shooting. Northwestern has taken advantage of second chance points most games this season ranking third in offensive rebound. Northwestern is third in the conference in assists this season as Craig leads the Lady Rangers with 73 on the year ranking second in the GAC. Kinsey Neiderer has led the Rangers in threes this season with 37 on the year with a 41.4% for fifth in the conference.Northwestern is third in the league in scoring margin, and seventh in points per game with 72.5 points per game.Â

The Golden Suns enter play 8-7 on the season with a 5-6 conference record. Arkansas Tech has dropped four of their last five games on the season. They enter play 5-2 at home in the Coliseum. Tech ranks eighth in the conference.

Arkansas Tech is one of the more high powered scoring offenses in the league as they rank second in the conference in field goal percentage at 43.8%. They score 78.0 points per game which is good for fourth in the conference. Kayley Shipman leads tech in scoring with 18 points per game as one of four double figure scorers. Jayana Sanders, Ashlei Lopez, and Sydnee Wynn are the other three scorers.Â

Northwestern will have opportunities to score as the Golden Suns are ranked 10th in the conference allowing 74.8 points per game. They are 10th in opponent field goal percentage as well at 41.1%.Â

The matchup to watch is rebounds as the Lady Rangers are first in rebound margin as Arkansas Tech ranks third in the conference in that statistic and third in defensive rebounds per game. They are led by Wynn bringing down nine rebounds per game.

Northwestern won the last meeting between the two teams in Alva during the 2019-20 season after not playing last season. Arkansas Tech holds a seven game win streak and is 7-0 in Russellville as the Lady Rangers will look to break that streak. Golden Suns are 4-1 over the Lady Rangers in the last five games.
