ALVA, OKLA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Rangers return home after a three game road trip with three of the next for being in Percefull Fieldhouse. The Lady Rangers will look to continue their five game win streak at home Thursday evening with tip-off set for 5:30 PM.
Northwestern (10-8 overall, 6-6 GAC) is seventh in the conference as the Lady Rangers look to snap their three game losing streak as they come in 7-3 in their last 10 games.
The Lady Rangers took the first matchup between the two teams with a 82-63 victory behind an impressive offensive and defensive performance. Northwestern shot 49 percent from the field led by 29 from Bailey Brown and 24 from Scout Frame.
On the season Northwestern is shooting 42.3% from the field which is fifth in the conference and the Red-and-Black are second in the conference in free-throw percentage. Northwestern has been able to take advantage of second chances as well sitting third in the conference in offensive rebounds per game.
Northwestern is led in scoring by Brown averaging 17.9 points per game on 50.7% shooting from the field. She is one of two double figure scorers as S. Frame averages 15.3 points a night. Frame has reached double figure points in eight straight games. Brown has scored double figures in 16 of the 18 games this season. Carly Craig has led the Rangers in assists on the year with 73 this season which is second in the conference and fifth in assist turnover ratio. Northwestern as a team is third on the year and fourth in assists per game.
Kinsey Neiderer ranks eighth in the conference in three point field goals made, and percentage on the season as she leads the Lady Ranger shooting from behind the arc.
The Lady Rangers have been one of the better defensive teams this year as the team is holding their opponents to 37.7% shooting which ranks second in the conference overall. The Red-and-Black have limited second chance opportunities being ranked third in the conference in defensive rebounds per game. Craig leads the team in steals on the year with 28 which is 15th best in the conference. Brown leads the team with eight blocks on the year and also has added 26 steals.
Scouting the Opponent:
The Blossoms have lost 18 straight games including 12 straight in conference play after losing two at home last week against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist. Arkansas-Monticello (0-18 overall, 0-12 GAC) will enter play looking to snap their 18 game losing streak.
Northwestern will look to contain Monticello in this game as the Blossoms are ranked 12th in field goal percentage and 12 in points per game at 58.2. They are led by Taylor Flores as she is the only Blossom averaging double figures with 16.7 points a game on 41% shooting from the field. She finished with 21 points in the first meeting between the two.
The Blossom defense ranks 12th allowing 83.9 points per game as their opponent is shooting 44% from the field which ranks 11th. Defensively Bailey Harris leads the team with 17 steals on the season followed by Flores with 16. Jasmyn Taylor leads Monticello with 21 blocked shots on the year controlling the Monticello defense.

Northwestern won the first meeting between the two this season 82-63 as they look to complete the season series sweep. NOrthwestern had three double-figure scorers in the win as Brown finished with 29. S. Frame 24 and Neiderer with 10.
Overall Northwestern enters play on a two game win streak versus the Blossoms winning in 2019-20 by 17 points and then this year's meeting by 19. Northwestern leads the series 9-8 with a 6-2 home record in the series. The Lady Rangers are 3-2 in their last five against Monticello.
