Dakota Michaels led his team in passing yards with 95 and Torrence Stevens led in receiving yards with 52. Alejandro Aaron led on the defensive side with 8 solo tackles and 3 assists for 11 total in the game.
1st Quarter:
The Rangers started strong, stringing together multiple passes from quarterback Dakota Michaels. A 17 yard completion pass to Darian Gill and a 9 yard completion pass to Torrence Stevens allowed Michaels to rush 5 yards for the first Northwestern touchdown. The extra point from Connor O'Neal allowed the Rangers to take an early 7-0 lead against the Storm. Southeastern quickly tied the game at 7-7 with a 13 yard completion pass and extra point. The Ranger defense was led by Brian Holiday with 4 tackles followed closely by Alejandro Aaron with 3.
2nd Quarter:
Southeastern furthered their lead at the start of the second with an 8 yard completion pass for a touchdown. The completed extra point allowed the Storm to lead 14-7 with thirteen minutes to go before halftime. A blocked punt with a completed point after touchdown allowed Southeastern to further their lead 21-7 going into the half. A 30 yard field goal from the Storm added an additional 3 points to their lead 24-7 right before the half for their halftime lead. Michaels collected 88 passing yards in the first half with a touchdown.
3rd Quarter:
Southeastern paired a 37 yard pass with a 8 yard rush to score another touchdown. The missed extra point extended the Storm's lead to 30-7 at the start of the quarter. The Ranger defense continued to be led by Holiday with 7 tackles followed closely by Aaron with 6.
4th Quarter:
The Storm kept their momentum going with an early touchdown and completed extra point to further their lead 37-7 before tacking on one more score to finish the game with a 44-7 victory over the Rangers.
The Rangers continue play in Bethany, Oklahoma as they travel to take on the Crimson Storm. Kickoff against Southern Nazarene is set for 3 PM on Saturday the 22nd.
