Lady Rangers Set to Conclude Regular Season In Durant

ALVA, OKLA- The Lady Rangers close out the 2021-2022 regular season in Durant, Oklahoma as they are set to play Southeastern Oklahoma State. This will be the second meeting between the teams with the Rangers winning the first meeting 71-68.
 

Northwestern (15-12 overall, 11-10GAC) entered play Saturday coming off a loss to Southern Nazarene which snapped their two game win streak. The Rangers have lost their last two on the road and enter this game with a 3-8 road record. 
 

The Lady Rangers enter play Saturday seventh in the conference in scoring at 70.1 points per game on 42.4% shooting which ranks third in the GAC in this statistic. Northwestern is led in scoring by Bailey Brown with 18.9 points per game and Scout Frame 16.6 per game. Kes Reeves and Brown lead the team with 54.5% and 50.1% shooting from the field. Kinsey Neidereer has made the most threes on the season at 47 on 33% shooting from behind the arc. The Lady Ranger rank second in the conference in assists at 15 a game and second on the season at 406. The team is led by Carly Craig in this statistic at 122 on the season and 4.7 per game for Northwestern. 
 

Defensively the Lady Rangers allow 65 points a game ranking fourth in the conference while holding their opponents to 38.8% shooting for fourth as well. Northwestern forces 15.9 turnovers per game which is seventh in the conference. Brown leads the team in steals at 36 on the season followed by Craig with 34 and Josena Frame at 32. Brown leads the team in blocks with 11.
 

Scouting Southeastern:

The Savage Storm (11-16 overall and 9-12 GAC) enter the weekend winners of their last game over Oklahoma Baptist snapping a three game losing streak. Overall the Storm are 7-6 at home in Durant this season. 
 

Southeastern scores 63.7 points per game ranking 11th in the conference  on 41.6% shooting from the field for the fifth best percentage in the league. Kamryn Cantwell and Briley Moon lead the team in scoring at 14.7 and 13.7 points per game for Southeastern. Cantwell leads the team with 86 assists on the season followed by Chandler Kemp at 56.
 

Defensively Southeastern allows 63.9 points from their opponent which is their best in the conference as they hold their opponent to 38.2% shooting  on the season. Moon leads the team in steals at 45 on the season followed by Cantwell at 43 on the year. Lauren Beason leads the team with 13 blocks on the year.
 

History:

Southeastern leads the overall series history between the two teams 15-6 dating back to the 2013 season when the teams first met in the Division II era. Southeastern has taken three of the last five games overall between the two teams but the Rangers won the first meeting this season. Northwestern looks for their first win in Durant since 2014.
 

The first meeting between the two teams the Rangers won 71-68 behind 22 points from Bailey Brown one of four double figure scorers joined by Neiderer knocking down five threes Josena Frame, and Carly Craig.
