Ranger Volleyball Takes Three GAC Player of the Week Awards

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball finished off a perfect week after opening Great American Conference play with two wins over Southern Nazarene in three sets before beating East Central in four sets. The Rangers were honored with all three GAC player of the week awards following this week. This is the second week Ranger Volleyball has earned player of the week.

Addison Wimmer earned offensive GAC player of the week, Cameron Lobb earned setter of the week, and Andrea Coady won defensive GAC player of the week. This is the second time Lobb has earned setter of the week this season.

Wimmer helped lead the Rangers to two wins behind 45 kills for an average of 6.43 kills per set and 23 digs for 3.29 per set. The Oklahoma native finished with two double-doubles following a 20 kill 12 dig performance with three blocks. In the second win 25 kills and 11 digs with two more blocks.

Lobb took setter of the week after an 82 assist week averaging 11.71 assists per set along with 19 digs for 2.71. She finished the week with one double-double in the win over East Central finishing with 53 assists and 11 digs in four sets. In the first match of the week against Southern Nazarene she helped the Rangers pull of the sweep with 29 assists and eight digs in the victory.

Coady earned defender of the week after a 58 digs through two games for 8.29 digs per set including five assists and two service aces. In the opening game of the week Coady finished with 24 digs, three assists, and one service ace. The second match she finished with 34 digs, two assists, and one service ace.

The Rangers will continue conference play this week with three games starting on Tuesday, at Southeastern Oklahoma State, Friday at Southwestern Oklahoma State, and Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist to conclude their week.
