Lady Rangers Set for Second Straight In Arkadelphia

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Rangers are set for game two of the three game road trip and the second straight in Arkansas. Northwestern looks to bounce back against Ouachita Baptist after a Thursday loss to Henderson State. 
 

The Lady Rangers enter Saturday afternoon with a 7-4 overall record this season with a 3-4 Great American Conference record. The Tigers enter Saturday with a 2-5 conference mark and a 5-6 overall record this season. 
 

Northwestern their last time out fell on the road 72-64 to the Reddies. In the loss Northwestern was led by Faith Simpson with 19 points in her first game back after missing two games. Carly Craig and Camille Thomas were the other two Northwestern double digit scorers with 15 and 10 points. 
 

This will be the 19th meeting between the two teams as the Lady Rangers lead the series history 10-8 overall. Northwestern swept the season series last season with a 78-59 victory in Alva and a 61-48 win in Arkadelphia last year. The Rangers are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings and 3-6 in Arkadelphia. Lady Rangers enter on a 5 game win streak against the Tigers. 
 

On the season the Lady Rangers are led in scoring by Faith Simpson at 17.8 points per game having three players score double figures per game Camille Thomas is second with 13.0 points per game followed by Carly Craig at 11.2. Nikya Orange is averaging 9.8 a game just shy of double digits.

Craig leads Northwestern with 64 assists on the season running the Northwestern offense. 

Defensively Simpson leads the charge with 28 steals on the year along with 10 blocks both team highs this season. Craig is second with 26 steals on the season followed by Talayah Thomas at 22 steals with three players with 20 or more. Simpson leads the team in rebounding with 7.6 per game followed by Thomas with 6.9 boards an outing. 
 

Ouachita Baptist:  

The Tigers snapped  a three game losing streak on Thursday following a 82-67 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State snapping a 10 game losing streak to the Lady Bulldogs. The Tigers come into Saturday 4-2 in Arkadelphia. 
 

Their last time out they were led in scoring by Mears Laney with 20 points on the evening as one of three double figure scorers joined by Makayla Miller, and Madeleine Tipton in the win. 
 

On the season the Tigers have three double figure scorers in Makayla Miller at 14.4 points, Laney Mears with 13.3 and Madeleine Tipton at 13.0 points a game leading the Tigers. Miller leads the team with 55 assists on the season followed by Gracen Williams with 28 on the year. 
 

The defensive side of the ball Miller leads the defense with 23 steals on the year followed by Laney Mears with 18 steals. Abbey Harrison leads the team with 7 blocks. Grayson Fairless leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game followed by Miller with 5.3 rebounds.
