OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA - The Women's Golf team closed out their second spring invitational Tuesday at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite in Oklahoma City. The Rangers placed sixteenth in the Invite after finishing with a score of 671 in the two round tournament.
Jalen Castle placed 58th overall in the invite as was Northwestern's top finisher shooting a total of 163 with her best round being in the second after improving by five shots from an 84-79. Castle finished with two birdies through the two rounds along with shooting 16 pars.
Second for the Rangers Madison Masch and Madison Kerr finished tied for 76th each shooting a 168 through the invite. Each individual improved from round one to round two.
Masch shot an 88 to an 80 in round two. Overall she finished with a team high three birdies overall and shot 13 pars through the tournament.
Kerr finished with two birdies and finished with 15 holes she shot for par. Kerr shot an 85 in round one before finishing with an 83 in the second.
Angela Egger and Samantha Friday tied in the tournament with a 174 between the two rounds tied for 88th. Egger shot 90 in round one before improving to 84 in the second round. Egger finished the invite shooting par on 14 holes.
Friday shot a 92 and 82 in the two rounds for a 174. She finished with one birdie while shooting par on 14 holes in the tournament.
Henderson State won the invitational shooting a 567 with a 283-284 in the two rounds. Gracen Blount and Allie Bianchi both with Henderson State led the tournament finishing with a 139 and 140 total score.
The Rangers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday, March 13th-14th for their third invitational this spring as Rogers State host at the Bailey Ranch Golf Course.
