ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Basketball picked up right where the team left it last week. Earning a 67-49 victory over the Tigers in a game the Lady Rangers never trailed Thursday evening.

A balanced approach helped the Lady Rangers jump out to an early 8-0 lead after Faith Simpson scored six of the first eight points of the game while Carly Craig assisted on the three of the four Northwestern baskets. The Lady Ranger defense held Ouachita scoreless for nearly the first three minutes of the game before the Tigers ended the run at the 7:18 mark of the first quarter.

She hit back to back three's with the second one coming in the final seconds of the quarter as the Lady Rangers carried a 19-6 lead into the second quarter. Simpson had nine first quarter points.

As Northwestern continued to carry the momentum into the second quarter the lead only grew as Craig started with a jump shot before Simpson followed and the Lady Rangers were quickly up 17 in the game. Paige Scott hit her first three pointer of the game as Northwestern led by 21 halfway through the second quarter. Northwestern used their defense to help continue to grow the lead scoring 12 first half points off turnovers running out with nine fast break points.

Lady Rangers continued to take over inside the paint scoring 20 points in the paint in the first half. Following Payton Jones foul shots Northwestern had the largest lead of the game going into the break with a 26 point advantage 37-11.

The third quarter Northwestern continued where they left off in the first half as Camille Thomas hit the first shot of the half assisted by Scott. Carly Craig then scored five straight for the Lady Ranger hitting a three followed by a steal and fastbreak layup as the lead grew to 30 at 46-16. Talayah Thomas and Summya Adigun continued to extend the lead getting as many as 33 at 55-22 before the defense took over as neither team scored in the final minute and a half of the third quarter.

Camille Thomas started the fourth quarter with a steal and a fastbreak layup for the first points of the final quarter. Scott followed with a layup as this pushed the lead to the largest it would reach at 37 points at 59-22.
