ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The first Ranger of the month winners for the early portion of the fall season goes to a pair of Ranger golfers. The Ranger of the month for September is Romane Lacoste and Matti Zerwin as the Blue Sky Media September Athletes of the Month Tuesday.

The Ranger of the Month awards are sponsored and selected by Blue Sky Media Classic Hits 105.7 KRDR FM radio (https://www.alvaradio.com). This brings back the Ranger of the Month Awards last done from the 2018-2019 seasons.

Zerwin earned the honor after helping the Men's Golf team through a strong month of September where he competed earning an individual invitational win at the MSSU Fall Invitational. Zerwin followed that tournament with a tie for first at the Newman invite before falling to third after the tiebreaker playoff round. 

Zerwin broke the Northwestern Ranger Golf record as well for lowest individual round score with a 66. These accolades also helped earn him two conference golfer of the week awards. 

Lacoste helped lead the Women's Golf team to a tournament win after earning first place individually as well at the tournament in the Jersey Mike's OBU Fall Invitational where she broke the school record for lowest individual round at 67 with the previous mark a 71. 

She has placed in the top five in three straight tournaments overall with a tournament followed by two third place finishes. Her accolades helped her earn GAC Golfer of the week on September 25th her second here at Northwestern.
