ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Ranger Volleyball team is in Hot Springs, Arkansas for the 2024 Conference tournament. The Great American Conference had their annual award ceremony banquet on Wednesday evening.
The Rangers earned one All-GAC conference player, and five players earned Scholar athlete award honors.
Erika Asencio Soriano earned All-GAC honors for the second straight season with the Rangers as she was voted onto the All-GAC volleyball Second Team following the season. Asencio Soriano finished the season with the Rangers leading the team in kills with 331 on the season with an average of 3.28 per set. The senior added 295 digs on the season with 44 blocks for the Rangers. She was eighth in the conference in kills, and seventh in total points.
On the academic side Ashley Low earned GAC Elite Scholar Student-Athlete.
The Rangers then had four players earn Academic Honor Roll in Karsyn Smith, Ozge Yavuz, Brooke Miller, and Mikayla White.
