ALVA, OKLA.  - The Northwestern Oklahoma State men's basketball team could not overcome a late first half run as they fell to Eastern New Mexico 83-63 in their first game inside Perfecull fieldhouse this season.

The first half was all Eastern New Mexico, as the Greyhounds scored the first four points of the game. The Rangers answered back quickly to tie the game at 7 going into the first media timeout. It became a back and forth battle at that point, as both teams traded baskets with four lead changes in that time. Eastern New Mexico went on a 6-0 run midway through the period to go on top 21-14. The Rangers battled back with a run of their own, going on a 10-5 run to close the half and go into the locker room trailing 46-34.

Eastern New Mexico came out of the intermission scoring with a couple quick baskets. Northwestern found their legs quickly and went on a 6-4 run to make the score 57-40 going to the first media timeout of the second half. Things were equal from that point on, Northwestern was able to cut the lead down to 15. The Rangers had a few bright spots in the second half, one being Robbie Armbrester who led Northwestern in scoring for the game with 17 points.
