Former Ranger Football Player Muftah Ageli Drafted by Ottawa REDBLACKS in Fourth Round

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Former Northwestern Oklahoma State football player Muftah Ageli was selected in the fourth round of this year's Canadian Football League draft. Ageli was selected 33rd overall by the Ottawa REDBLACKS. 

"The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers are extremely proud and happy for Muftah.  He worked extremely hard to get to this point and I know he will represent us well in the CFL.  His talent, work ethic, and character will carry him a long way in his quest to play professional football". stated head coach Ronnie Jones.

Ageli was with the Ranger football team for one season this past 2024 year, earning the Great American Conference All-GAC Third team. He finished the season with 12 solo tackles and 22 assists for 34 total tackles. He had four tackles for a loss including four sacks. He had two quarterback hurries and had one interception, which was run back for a touchdown.

The CFL season for the Ottawa Redblacks will begin on Saturday, May 24th in a preseason game before the first week one game on June 5th.
