Northwestern First In GAC with 127 Student-Athletes Earn D2 ADA Academic Awards

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) announced the annual Academic Achievement awards for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Northwestern had 127 student-athletes receive this honor, a continued increase for the last three years. This was number one in the Great American Conference. 

"This is a great testament to the continued great work by our student-athletes over the expanse of their career, academically, and to the work our coaches and faculty put in focusing on our academic goals and success. "Northwestern continues to be a leader in the classroom. I am super proud of our student athletes," stated Vice President for Athletics Brad Franz.

In the announcement, more than 20,000 student-athletes from a total of 202 schools were recognized. This sets a new program record. Northwestern Oklahoma State University had a total of 127 this past year, a school record. The Great American Conference had a total 787 led by the Rangers to be first across the GAC, with the most student athletes receiving this academic honor.
