ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer team tied Harding, 0-0, on Saturday afternoon to close out the home slate. The draw moves the Rangers to 7-5-3 on the season.
Northwestern and Harding traded shots early in the contest, with both sides creating scoring opportunities, but being shut down by the defense. In the second half, the Bisons fired shot after shot, but the Ranger defense continued to suffocate Harding and prevent them from getting a great opportunity. Northwester countered with a shot on goal in the 61
st minute from
Katy Jo Werner, but continued to fend off the Harding offense to finish in a 0-0 tie, giving the Rangers their first shutout against the Bisons since 2022.
The Bisons outshot the Rangers 21-5, including a 10-3 differential in shots on goal.
Alyssa Hotze led the Rangers in shots with two, while three different Rangers had shots on goal.
