ALVA, OKLA. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's volleyball team picked up their second straight win on Tuesday night as they defeated McPherson College in three straight sets.

Set one went to Northwestern by a score of 25-14. The Rangers controlled the set from the jump, as they jumped out to a 9-2 lead out of the gate. The Bulldogs attempted to mount a small comeback towards the end of the set but Northwestern thwarted their comeback to win the set. Tess De Zanet led the Rangers in the first set contributing five points with five kills in the set.

The Rangers took set two 25-18. The Rangers took the lead again early on, but the Bulldogs hung around through most of the set before Northwestern could pull away with a 13-8 run late in the set. De Zanet added six kills to her total to bring her to 11 for the match.

The third and final set went to Northwestern, as they finished the night with a 25-13 set win. It was a back and forth set in the early going until the Rangers took control and never looked back.

The Rangers will be back in action on Friday as they take on Eastern New Mexico in the Meadow City Classic.
