MOORE. Okla.- The Northwestern men's cross country team continued their season with a solid showing at the R4RYK XC Festival. Riley Herndon won the meet and led the team to a 2nd place finish. 

Riley Herndon finished in 1st place with a time of 26:33. This is the first time since 2024 that a Ranger has individually won a meet. Andrew Scott crossed the line in 2nd place with a time of 26:47. The top 3 Ranger sweep was completed with Coy Bullard's 3rd place finish. Bullard ran a time of 27:17. Daxton Williams was the next Ranger to cross the finish line with a 28:51. Williams in 13th led a pack of Northwestern runners that rounds out the top 7. Matthew Manning finished in 14th place with a time of 28:57. In 6th and 7th place for the Rangers came Jordan Pierce and Boyd Hamby. Pierce ran a time of 29:17, while Hamby finished with a 29:20. The team finished in 2nd place with 33 points. Oklahoma Christian won the meet with 30 points. 

The team travels to Joplin, Missouri next week to race in the competitive Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State.
