Nine Rangers Set Personal Bests in Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo.- The Ranger women's cross country team had a morning full of personal records as nine runners earned new best times. The team raced to a 16th place finish. 
 

Reshila Curley led the Rangers with a 54th place finish and a time of 19:27.31. Senior Cadence Long-Torres followed Curley clocking a time of 19:37.53. Third for the Rangers was sophomore Jesica Myers. Myers ran for a time of 19:54.49. Ana Rojas set a new personal best with a time of 20:57 as she finished 4th on the team. Emilia Ceniceros capped off the top 5 clocking a personal best of 21:21.61. Ashley Myers and Jaidyn Frantz rounded out the top 7 with a pair of PR's. Myers ran a 21:30.75 and Frantz ran a 21:40.20. Overall nine Rangers set new personal records in Joplin. Northwestern finished 16th out of the 24 teams that attended.
 

The team will get two weeks of rest before traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas. The next meet scheduled is the prestigious Chili Pepper XC Fesitval hosted by the University of Arkansas.
