Chose Vanderbilt out of high school, where he remained for a season, after which he went to Cisco and Bossier Parish for a season a piece.

HIGH SCHOOL
Pitched for Braintree High School where he was very successful. He was a four-year varsity letter-winner as well as a Bay State All-Star, a league MVP and a 35th round draft pick out of High School, but he chose the college route instead. Delano also did very well in the classroom as he was a Boston Globe All-Scholastic member as well as a Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic member.
