2016 (Senior):
e Played and started in all 52 games during her final year at Northwestern, primarily at second base, where she hit .219 with two homeruns, 19 runs batted in, and 12 runs scored...Couser led the team in total at bats with 160 and finished the season defensively with a .975 fielding percentage.
2015 (Junior):
Appeared in 43 games for the Rangers where she batted .233 with 11 runs and 27 runs batted in.
Previous School:
Played for the Cowley County Community College (Kan.) for two years before transferring to Northwestern to play on the Ranger Softball team… She had an outstanding career both on and off the field as a Tiger… Earned many honors in both 2013 and 2014, making 2nd team All-Region IV as well as 1st team All-Jayhawk East Conference in 2013… In 2014 she was awarded the NJCAA Softball Marucci Elite Hitter Award, and earned NJCAA All-American 2nd team honors as well… She was also named a Jayhawk Community College Conference All-Academic selection… Stephanie was very successful in the classroom, landing on the Dean’s honor roll in 2013 as well as the President’s honor roll in 2014.
High School:
From Moore High School where she played second base for the Lions… Had a stellar career in not only Softball at MHS, but in two other sports as well… Was named Female Athlete of the year, an All-State selection, All-Region and All-District selections in the 2012 season.
Personal:
Stephanie is the daughter of David and Shelley Couser… Born on July 12, 1994 in Oklahoma City… Has one younger brother Dalton (17)… Majoring in Early Childhood and plans on becoming an elementary teacher or middle school teacher and coach… Her mom Shelley was a two-sport athlete at Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College where she played Volleyball and Basketball.
