Played left guard at Frederick High School for coach Hugh Farmer… Helped the Bombers to the state quarterfinals, taking home first-team all-district honors… Also exceled in track and field and power lifting. Was a two-time state runner-up in the shot put and a regional power lifting champion… Graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and was a member of both the Oklahoma and National Honor Societies.
