Jack Hammond joins the staff as the Assistant Coach / Head Junior Varsity Coach. A native of Oklahoma, Hammond was ranked the No.2 infielder in the state and a top 10 overall player coming out of Owasso High School. He went on to play at the University of Kansas, where he hit .301 in Big 12 play as a freshman and earned KU Rookie of the Year honors in 2022. After a redshirt season, Hammond transferred to Long Beach State, hitting .264 with 10 doubles, eight home runs and 30 RBIs in 2023. One of his career highlights came against Cal Poly, where he went 5 for 5 with two home runs and six RBIs. Most recently he coached at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California, helping the program to the best conference record among all levels in 2025. He graduated from Long Beach State in spring 2025.
