Saw extensive time with Northwestern’s junior varsity squad and appeared in four varsity games – two as a pinch runner and two as a relief pitcher… Posted a 6.75 ERA an 1.1 innings of work… Made his season debut as a pinch runner at Dallas Christian on March 18, scoring a run… Also pinch ran on April 12 against Southeastern Oklahoma State… Made two relief appearances on the year… Threw a perfect inning at Dallas Christian on March 19… Was touched up for three runs (one earned) on three hits, including a solo homerun, in his only other outing against Southeastern, lasting a third of an inning…
2012 (Freshman)
Made a total of eight relief appearances, totaling 6.1 innings… Allowed seven runs (six of them earned) on nine hits, balancing six walks with six strikeouts… Tossed perfect innings in both games of a double-header sweep at Dallas Christian, totaling three strikeouts over those two frames…Pitched in to help secure a 9-8 Ranger victory over East Central on Feb. 28 by working a hitless third inning… Added another perfect inning during a Feb. 19 victory against Benedictine… Was roughed up by Lubbock Christian during the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament for four runs on five hits in a third of an inning.
HIGH SCHOOL
High School: Was a four-year starter at M.M. Robinson High School... Barlett helped teams win back-to-back district championships... Voted Eastern Canadian Premier League all-star and to the Ontario All-Star team in 2011... Hit .408 as a senior… As a right wing on the hockey team, tallied 52 goals, 188 penalty minutes, 61 assists and nine fighting majors… Also played wide receiver on the football team.
