Alex Hafner was a superior Safety for Misericordia University. He was all conference his Senior Year and was selected to the First Team All-Decade Team for the Cougars.
After his playing career was over, Hafner transitioned to coaching high school football in his hometown of Dundalk, Maryland. There he was the Defensive Back's Coach and Special Team's Coordinator for two years. There, Hafner's team went to State Semifinals after a productive year from the secondary. Hafner sent seven Defensive Back's to the FCS/FBS level.
Hired in July of 2025, Hafner brings his experience to an already stacked Defensive Back room. Hafner says that he is excited to a good addition to the Rangers Defensive Coaching Staff.
