Jason Medrano enters his second season as the Rangers offensive coordinator after being hired in February of 2023.
Coach Medrano has a proven track record of success as a football coach. With 22 years of experience, he has honed his skills and has a deep understanding of the game of football. Coach Medrano has a passion for coaching and has a unique ability to bring out the best in his players.
As the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator,Coach Medrano will plays a key role in the success of the Northwestern Oklahoma State football program. He will work closely with the offensive line and the rest of the offense to ensure that the team is executing at a high level. Coach Medrano is known for his innovative strategies and his ability to make adjustments on the fly, which will be a valuable asset to the Northwestern Oklahoma State football program.
Coach Medrano is set to rejoin Head Coach Jones after 20 Years. He coached with Coach Jones at West Texas A&M University. Medrano started his coaching career at West Texas A&M as the offensive line/ tight end coach. After two years at West Texas A&M he became the Offensive coordinator at Muskogee High School where he worked for 15 years from 2004-2019.
Catoosa then named him head coach from 2019-2021 in the class 4A ranks before taking a job with Charles Page High School working with the offensive line, running backs as the running game coordinator.
The Northwestern Oklahoma State community is eager to see Coach Medrano in action, and they are confident that he will play a key role in the success of the football program. With his passion, drive, and dedication, Coach Medrano is sure to make a positive impact on the lives of the student-athletes and the Northwestern Oklahoma State community.
