Graduated in 2019 from Byron Nelson High School located in Trophy Club, TX. He played safety for Coach Travis Pride and led the Bobcats to the Bi-District Championship in 2017. In 2018, Kabongo earned First Team All-District Safety, Honorable Mention All-State Safety, and he was selected to earn the Defensive MVP award for his team.
