Jarvis Jackson joins the men's basketball coaching staff following a year at Thomas Jefferson High School where he served as the Head Assistant Boys Basketball coach.
As the head assistant, Jackson was in charge of the defensive unit and turned them into a top-rated defense and was the best in the district in field goals allowed as well as 3-point percentage. He also started a "2nd Chance Program" which was set up to be a mentor program between High School and Elementary students.
Prior to joining the staff at Thomas Jefferson HS, Jackson was an assistant at Williston State College in Williston, N.D.
While at Williston, he was in charge of managing team travel, assisted with breaking down film and developing scouting reports. He also worked a lot with individual training, player development and player mentorship.
Before arriving at Williston, Jackson had his first stint at Thomas Jefferson where he was the Associate Head Coach from 2011-15. He specialized in player development, individual workouts and team building. He assisted in all aspects of the program and helped lead the team to the Sweet 16 or better all four years of working there on staff.
Jackson earned his Associates degree from Northeastern Junior college in 2007 and his Bachelor's in 2010 from Newman University.
