Rogers took the reins at Northwestern as the fourth Ranger Golf coach in the Division II era to be the head coach of both the Men’s and Women’s programs.
The Enid, Oklahoma native, comes to the Ranger family following multiple coaching opportunities in the past. The most recent one was the head girls golf coach at Chisholm High School to the conclusion of last season before taking the position.
In his time with Chisholm, he was in charge of running practice throughout the season as the team would participate in four tournaments before making it to the 3A Oklahoma State Golf Tournament at the end of the year.
Before Rogers’s time at Chisholm, he was the Assistant Golf Professional at Oakwood Country Club for eleven years until June 2020. During his time at Oakwood, he would be involved in several different activities that would lead to him being a mentor for players while coaching them. Coach Rogers would give lessons to individuals, teaching them swing mechanics and the etiquette one should use on the course.
He would then teach and give golf clinics to the Enid High Golf team, in which the team would make the 6A Oklahoma High School Golf State Championship.
Rogers is a Northwestern Oklahoma State graduate from the Enid campus with a major in Social Sciences. He holds his Class A PGA teaching card and resides in Enid with his wife Haleigh and daughter Collins.
