Ryan Shumaker will begin his second year working with the Northwestern Oklahoma State athletic department as an Athletic Communications Assistant and his first year as the primary assistant for both the men's and women's golf teams.
Prior to accepting the position, Shumaker served as a student assistant during all Ranger athletic events as well the Sports Editor for the school newspaper "The Northwestern News."
He was also a member of the Ranger golf team for two years during his undergrad. As a Ranger golfer, Shumaker's best performance came in the spring of 2015 when he fired a 73 to take home the NWOSU/OPSUÂ Dual Individual trophy.
Shumaker graduated in the fall of 2016 which a bachelor's degree in Health and Sports Science and is currently pursuing a masters degree in Adult Education Management and Administration with an emphasis in Athletic Administration.Â
