Tim Lauderdale was named the Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations in September of 2016 and assumed the role of Director of Golf in August of 2018.
At Northwestern, Lauderdale serves as the Associate Director of Athletics and is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the department. He heads up all game day activities, oversees the budgets for all Ranger sports programs, assists in coordinating fundraising initiatives, and supervises multiple sports programs.
Before taking on the role of the Associate AD, Lauderdale was the Human Resources Director here on campus for one year before being called by Director of Athletics, Brad Franz and offered his current position.
Prior to Northwestern, Lauderdale was the Chief Financial Officer for a successful oilfield rental company based in Woodward, Okla. from 2013 to 2016. He was in charge of all financial and administrative aspects of the company which saw record growth during his time as the CFO.
Before returning to his hometown, Lauderdale was a Marketing Coordinator for the Oklahoma State University Athletic Department from 2012 to 2013. He managed over 75 events including football, women’s soccer, and baseball and was directly in charge of all marketing and promotional aspects for Cowgirl Soccer and Cowboy Baseball. Lauderdale executed new ideas for in-game entertainment that increased attendance for both programs.
Lauderdale spent 2011 to 2012 year working as the Marketing Associate for Shocker Athletics at Wichita State University. He was tasked with implementing marketing and advertising strategies for 15 varsity intercollegiate athletic programs and the coordination of in-game promotions for men’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, and softball.
This is Lauderdale’s second stint at Northwestern as he served as the Communications and Marketing Manager for the Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association and Admissions Counselor/Recruiter for the University from 2007 to 2011.
Before coming back to his alma mater, Lauderdale spent two seasons in Wichita, Kan. working for the Wichita Wranglers, the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. He served as a marketing intern in 2006 and the Public Relations Associate in 2007.
Lauderdale earned his B.S. in Mass Communications from Northwestern in 2006 and his M.Ed. in Sport Management from Wichita State in 2012.
A northwest Oklahoma native, Tim and his wife, Andrea, reside in Alva with their three boys, Bentley, Beckham and Braxton.
