Allora Miller joined the Northwestern Softball coaching staff in 2016 and is currently entering her fourth season as the pitching coach for the Rangers.
The Lady Ranger pitching staff saw improvement over both seasons under Miller. She has been able to land a Northwestern pitcher on the All-GAC list two years straight in Madison Garza who had a great final season in 2018. Junior Karly Murray, has also been stellar for Miller these last two seasons.
Miller graduated in 2010 from Riverdale High School in Fort Myers, Florida. She was a five year starting varsity athlete. Upon graduation, Miller signed with Miami Dade College, NJCAA Division I College in Miami, Florida. Miller was a member of the 2011 team, winning first place in the Conference and State Tournament and placing fourth at the NJCAA Division I Nationals in St. George, Utah.
Miller was a member of the Northwestern softball team from 2012-2015 as a dominant Pitcher and Utility. During her final season as a Ranger, Miller collected two Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week Awards. Her first after a huge performance against Ouachita Baptist. The Rangers swept the Tigers in the four game series where Miller collected three wins on the weekend. Her second GAC Honor came in the final week of the season, beating Fort Hayes State in a midweek matchup, getting her first career no-hitter. Miller continued onto the weekend against conference opponent Arkansas-Monticello, striking out 11 in a complete game win and ending the weekend with 20 strikeouts in 17.0 innings of work.
Miller continued her career professionally, traveling overseas to Weiner Neustadt, Austria. During her first season she was able to help the team get their first two wins in five seasons. Her second season internationally lead to a second place finish and first league tournament appearance, three golden glove awards, and a significant improvement in all pitching categories from her first year. She also helped to establish and develop a second, lower division team.
Following her playing career overseas, Miller became an international softball consultant to help post-college athlete continue their careers professionally.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in 2015, Miller will graduate with her Master’s in the summer of 2020.
She currently resides in Alva, Oklahoma with her husband and Assistant Baseball Coach, Charlie Letourneau and father.
